2008 2nd Street Reconstruction Project

Project Update

July 16, 2008

During the week of July 14th, concrete work will be finished and restoration work will begin on the terraces.  The placement of base course and fine grading will be completed the week of July 21st with final asphalt to follow.  The storm water project at 3rd Avenue has been completed and will be paved along with the rest of 2nd Street.  Due to the amount of rain received in June the contractor has a requested an extension on the completion date.  The new final completion date for the project will be July 29,2008.  The Village appreciates your patience during this project.  Thank-you.

Crews will be working daily between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; if you have a driveway off 2nd Street you may not have immediate access to your driveway between these hours.  Residents are encouraged to park on side streets as much as possible.  In addition, due to wet weather it may be in your best interest to avoid driving on 2nd Street, especially if you do not have a 4-wheel-drive vehicle.
