Recent Flood Damage?

Green County Emergency Management has announced that FEMA will be opening a disaster recovery center (DRC) at the Brodhead Fire Department. The DRC will open Monday, July 7 from 1:00-7:00, then from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm until further notice.

Homeowners, renters or business owners who had storm or water damage that occurred June 5, 2008 or shortly thereafter are encouraged to register with FEMA.  Representatives from other agencies, such as Small Business Association will also be there to answer your questions and assist you filling out paper work.  If you have already registered with FEMA and you have questions or need further assistance, please stop in too. If you are unable to stop in at the DRC, please call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or apply on line at www.fema.gov, for the speech and hearing impaired TTY: 1-800-462-7585.

Please also note, that if you called Green County Emergency Management to report your damages your are NOT registered with FEMA. Green County Emergency Management cannot register anyone with FEMA.

Brush/Yard Waste

Brush: Brush and branches will be picked up curbside during the first week of each month from April through OctoberPlease remember to leave your brush on your terrace the 1st day of the month to assure for pick-up within the 1st week of each month.  Brush can also be dropped off at the wood-chip pile located behind the Village Garage, accessible from Second Street. 

Yard Waste: The yard waste dumpster is available during the months of April through November for use at the Village Garage at 93 - 1st Street.  Please remember to empty your bag into the dumpster, do not place bags in dumpster.  Yard waste will not be picked up curbside.
