 Upcoming Activity 

  • Continue footing construction
  • Begin foundation walls
  • Begin underground site utility installation
  • Utility work along Elmer Road
  • Temporary Elmer Road closures may occur at times
  • Check the Village of New Glarus website for road-closure and traffic updates 

No blasting is needed at the building site—good news. Blasting along Elmer Road for the public improvements will not be confirmed until excavation is complete. We expect to know by end of October and will update when more information becomes available.

 Construction Hours 

  • General construction hours: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
  • Equipment and construction vehicles may be visible onsite before 7:00 a.m. as crews prepare and mobilize
  • Active construction will generally occur within the scheduled hours 

Looking Ahead 

  • Prairie Haus Senior will provide 50 new senior apartments to the New Glarus community.
  • Construction is currently anticipated to be completed in summer 2027.
  • WHPC is a non-profit organization and appreciates the community's interest and support.
  • Look for another construction update from us later this year.
